Namasté, beautiful one.
In this post I offer brief reviews of three books by Ken Carey that are in the annotated bibliography of my book, You Are Dearly Loved (which I’m in the process of re-doing). As usual, please use your discernment and take only what resonates with you of what is written and leave the rest. It’s just food for thought, and I offer it all to you with love.
I’ve read many wonderful books over the years, and all of the authors have added something to my life. They’ve enlightened me or moved me or provoked me to think and question. Some have brought more tears of joy than others, but all have increased my awareness and lessened my feeling of being alone in the world.
There are some works that, as I read, I can just feel my vibration rising. As I hear the sound of the author’s words in my mind, I’m lifted up, my heart is opened with love, and I have hope for humanity. The books in my bibliography list are some of these works. They have touched me deeply and have been particularly relevant to the content of my own book. They are written by authors whose words radiate beauty, and they are food for the soul. I send out a wave of love and gratitude to them as well as to the many authors who’ve had the courage to let the world see their light in spite of being afraid.
Ken Carey’s Starseed
There are four books in Ken Carey’s Starseed: The Starseed Transmissions, Return of the Bird Tribes, The Third Millennium: Living in the Post Historic World, and Vision. Reading them all was an experience of such utter and unadulterated joy, that I have to say that The Third Millennium and Return of the Bird Tribes are the most beautiful books I have ever read. Mere words do not do justice to the experience of them.
In the volumes of Starseed the author describes his experience of accessing higher frequencies of awareness, with information flowing to him from angelic consciousness within “eternal fields of light” (The Third Millennium, pg. 5) that exist beyond the limitations of the physical realms. This consciousness is a part of us that most of us have forgotten. Together the Starseed volumes represent “an early translation of the thought circulating in a unified field of awareness that has long been bubbling up through the earth’s biology,” (The Starseed Transmissions, pg. xiv) and provide a preview of future possibilities for humanity.

The information in this volume deals with the awakening of consciousness, and how our habits of perception have held us back. The words that come through Ken Carey are gorgeous descriptions of how we humans and all of life are individualized expressions of the One, the Creator. But we have forgotten our original essence and have gotten stuck in defining ourselves solely as matter. As we awaken to our true identity as both matter and Spirit, we begin to understand that our bodies are exquisite instruments designed for expressing God in form. “You are the Spirit of Life itself, dancing in the clay, delighting in the glorious opportunity of incarnation, exploring the realms of matter, blessing the earth and all therein.” (pg. 46)

Before I had even opened my copy of Return of the Bird Tribes, I had an experience that presaged its content. It happened late one night while I was swimming alone in a pool on a mesa in Sedona, Arizona. Swimming at night by myself is one of the great joys of my life. Surrounded by water and sky and stars, I feel deeply connected to the Source of life, and I go into an altered state that can only be described as bliss. That night as I glided through the water and gazed at the gorgeous expanse of indigo sky pierced by twinkling stars, I kept hearing the words Fire Bird and Thunderbird in my mind. Over and over, Fire Bird, Thunderbird, and I knew that the repetition was signifying their importance. Not knowing what the words meant, I mentally filed the incident away and went home a couple of days later. The day after I returned home I picked up my unread copy of Return of the Bird Tribes, and as I flipped through the pages I felt a shiver of electricity go through my body. I had spotted the words Fire Bird and Thunderbird together.
They were listed in the Glossary as alternate names for the Great Spirit as well as names of Bird Tribes. I read that the Bird Tribes are angelic entities who have been spiritual guardians of the earth for billions of years. I read further that the White Buffalo Calf Woman, in whose form the Great Spirit had visited the earth to teach the Sioux the ceremony of the Sacred Pipe, said that she was of the Fire Bird tribe. “I am one of the Bird People, whose tribe once covered this Island of the Turtle [North America]. Do you remember the Winged Ones of Heaven? The Firebirds? The Thunder Tribes?” (pg. 67) Later on she describes a future time on earth where peace and harmony will reign. “The Great Spirit, the very Thunderbird, will be active within the races, living, breathing, creating through the peoples of the earth.” (pg. 78)
I was astounded by the synchronicity of my experience, including the fact that Turtle has long been one of my animal spirits, appearing sometimes in my mind when I meditate. I was also truly astounded by the beauty and depth of the words of the angelic Bird Tribes. With love and encouragement they convey to us that they’re with us on earth to help us understand our true nature and awaken to our own beauty and power. For example, an angel of the winged tribes tells us:
“Nowhere but here have I seen such exquisite, sensitive creatures of biology, such graceful men and women who exhibit your capacity. Do not let those of limited vision cheapen the miracle you are living or diminish your sense of value with their abstractions. The potential you embody is unprecedented.” (pg. 212)

Even though the themes of this volume are similar to those in the previous volumes of Starseed, I’ve never responded to a book the way I respond to The Third Millennium. When I first read it I had no language to describe all that I felt. Even now, when I reread it, no words can adequately convey the effect that the beauty and magic and energy of this work have on me. The sound of the words and the meaning they carry are so shockingly beautiful that with practically every sentence I feel like I’m lifted to a place of transcendence and hope. The angelic consciousness that is with us during this time of awakening comes through these words to help us remember our true, timeless nature and our true purpose—to create worlds through love. Here’s an example,
“If you close your eyes you may see it stretching before you: a pulsing network of implicit potential as real as any sensory realm, a vibrational reality that in an earlier age was called the kingdom of heaven. … It is the spiritual scaffold around which the biology of the future will congeal into a work of splendor and magnificence without precedent and, as yet, without name. It is a blue-print, a subtle latticework of intent and vibration; it is the outline, the pattern for a finely woven, luminous biology of galactic and someday intergalactic extent. Through you the potential of this implicit order will one day dance to life.” (pg. 22)
And now this is my offering to you, dear one:
Dream with me now until you remember the truth that endures beneath everything else: that you are the greatest joy of the Great Spirit of All That Is and All That Can Be who dreamt the Earth into ecstatic form. Dream with me now as you remember that you are starlight and moonlight and the infinite light of the divine, sacred heart of Spirit. Remember with me that within your own glorious heart is the One Love that lies beneath the facade and illusions of all the manifest world.
Namasté, Earth angel.
I read this book already eight or nine times and plunge again into it to discover every time deeper levels.
The resonance is incredible and awakens memories deep inside.
The shared information is a complete teaching and guides me to my real self.
It's a pity that there are no discussion groups on this work.
